We are pleased to inform you that Better Silver Spa has adopted a management system complying with the requirements of the international standard SA8000:2014 and has obtained the certificate n. IT17/0710 issued by SGS Italia Spa on 2017/09/07.
2019 is the year of RJC certification made possible by the new edition of the RJC COP standard which also includes silver. The management system has therefore been updated to make it compliant with the RJC COP 2019 standard. Further proof of Better Silver Spa’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.

What is SA8000 certification?
SA8000 is an auditable certification standard that encourages organizations to develop, maintain, and apply socially acceptable practices in the workplace.
It was developed by Social Accountability International (SAI) for setting global standards on workers’ rights and workplace conditions, including all existing international agreements such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, ILO conventions (International Labour Organization), international human rights standards and national labour laws.

What is RJC certification?
RJC Certification ensures members operate their business in a way that meets ethical, social, human rights and environmental standards covering the entire jewellery and watch supply chain.
RJC Code of Practices (COP) demonstrates commitment to sustainable development and responsible jewellery.
RJC Chain of Custody (COC) certification gives customers and suppliers the assurance they need about how products and materials have been sourced, traced, and processed through the supply chain.

What is ISO 45001 certification?
ISO 45001 specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system, and gives guidance for its use, to enable organizations to provide safe and healthy workplaces by preventing work-related injury and ill health, as well as by proactively improving its OH&S performance.

DUE DILIGENCE FOR RESPONSIBLE SOURCING FROM CONFLICT-AFFECTED AND HIGH-RISK AREAS
Better Silver S.p.A. regularly verifies that all materials (Silver and Gold) used in its production cycle come from LBMA Good Delivery List refineries or RJC 2019 COP / RJC CoC certified suppliers.
The validity of the certificates of silver and gold refiners and suppliers from which Better Silver Spa sources is cross checked on the LBMA and RJC websites.
The management system of Better Silver Spa stipulates policies and procedures with clear
responsibilities and adequate training for all personnel to guarantee the correct implementation of “Due diligence for responsible sourcing from conflict-affected and high-risk areas”, in accordance with the requirements of RJC COP 2019, provision 7, and of OECD Due Diligence Guidance.
Risk assessment is carried out every year during Management Review when the validity of the certifications is checked as described above.
The last check was carried out on January 10, 2024.

CORPORATE CREDIT RATING: A3-
MODEFINANCE published the Solicited Corporate Credit Rating of BETTER SILVER S.P.A. and the rating assigned to the entity is A3- (first issuance). The analysis revealed that the company’s capacity to meet its commitment to financial obligations is strong.

The Legality Rating, issued by the AGCM (Competition and Market Guarantor Authority), is an indicator of the compliance with high standards of legality by the companies that have requested it and, more generally, of the degree of attention paid in the correct management of their business. This recognition takes the form of a score ranging from a minimum of one star to a maximum of three stars.

Adopting the principles of SA8000 and of RJC COP means that an organization must consider the social impact of its activities, in addition to the conditions under which employees, partners and suppliers operate. They can be adopted worldwide by any company of any size.
